EV policies have been approved or notified dedicated in 13 states: Center
In addition to the country’s fuel security, the EV plan will enhance affordability and environmental friendliness and will boost India’s automotive industry at the global level.
On Monday, the Parliament was informed that 13 states, including Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, and Karnataka, have enacted policies aimed at promoting the use of electric vehicles (EVs).
He also mentioned that there are 13 states (Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Meghalaya, Gujarat, West Bengal) that have approved/notified dedicated EV policies to boost electric vehicles adoption.
Based on information from the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Krishna Pal Gurjar, Minister of State for Heavy Industries, wrote in his reply that battery prices are estimated to be around 30-40 percent of the vehicle price.
In addition to increasing national fuel security, this plan makes transportation more affordable and environmentally friendly, and it makes the Indian automotive industry a global manufacturing leader.
In a separate statement, he stated that the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan (NEMMP) 2020 is a national mission document that lays out a roadmap and vision for the country’s easier adoption and manufacture of electric vehicles.
