Indian Oil plans to install around 100 electric vehicles (EV) charging stations across the state by the end of this financial year.
Indian Oil plans to install EV charging stations at 100 of its outlets across Maharashtra, including five in the Marathwada region.
Ajay Kumar Shrivastav, General Manager (Retail Sales), attended an event in Aurangabad, where a fuel pump with electric charging, petrol, and diesel, and a Khadi outlet, were dedicated to the nation under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Indian Oil’s (Maharashtra Office) Head Anirban Ghosh inaugurated this pump via an online medium in the presence of DYSP Vishal Nehul.
Post-event, Shrivastav briefed the reporters, “We have added a charging station for electric vehicles here after announcing the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative on the pump.”
This rural police-run outlet in Aurangabad that was opened last year is the only one selected for ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ across Maharashtra, according to the company.
According to Indian Oil, approximately 100 electric vehicle charging stations will be installed across the state by the end of this financial year. There will be five installed in the Marathwada region.
The company further stated that if and where required, the charging guns will be upgraded from 15 KW to 45 KW. A new facility also can be installed if necessary.
