BHEL invites bids for supply of mounting structures for 75 MW solar project
BHEL has issued RfQ inviting bids for supply for 720 metric tons of module mounting superstructures for a Solar PV project of 75 Mw in Gujarat.

The last date of submission of applications is 7 July 2020.
Scope of Work
The work scope for the selected vendors includes supply for 720 metric tons of module mounting superstructures for a 75 Mw Solar PV project at Dhuvaran in Gujarat. The materials supplied must have a warranty of 18 months.
Qualification Criteria
The pre-qualification criteria for the fabrication of superstructures require that the interested bidder must be a manufacturer and have the facility to produce an in-house cold roll with a minimum capacity of 400 MT per month.
For a hot-dip galvanization facility, the interested bidder must have an in-house galvanization facility or have a facility in one of its subsidiaries. The bidder may also have a tie-up with another company for hot-dip galvanizing works. The thickness of the galvanization should be at least 80 microns.
Selection Criteria
As per the tender document, 60% and 40% stake will be purchased from two vendors. Superstructures must be delivered by October 10, 2020. A quantity of 432 metric tons (60%) will be purchased from the bidder quoting the lowest quantity (L1), and 288 metric tons (40%) from the second-lowest bidder. (L2).
Other Criteria
BHEL has also indicated that the prospective bidder must procure raw materials (steel sheets) from original equipment manufacturers and sub-vendors, such as the Tata Iron and Steel Company Limited(TISCO), the Steel Authority of India Ltd(SAIL), Jindal and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd.
