Asia’s largest carport has been powered by JinkoSolar Panels.
Powered by JinkoSolar panels, India’s largest carport is a step forward towards decarbonizing the country’s auto industry.
Jinko Solar has announced that its Cheetah series monofacial modules have been used in the largest carport facility in Asia. This largest carport facility is located in the northern region of India.
Jinko Solar’s Cheetah monofacial series modules are deployed at the largest carport in the northern region of India. A unique project, it has a 20 MWp installed capacity, which is the highest installed in any carport across Asia.
The high-efficiency panels from Jinko help to offset grid consumption and also facilitate charging for electric cars under the carport. According to Jinko’s official statement, the customer is India’s largest and most prestigious automobile manufacturer and the leader in the domestic industry.
Gener Miao, CMO of JinkoSolar said, “We are proud and excited that JinkoSolar has a part to play in these cars that reach the Indian consumers through their most trusted and valued automobile brand. Our products will cater to more businesses and industries and help them move towards carbon neutrality while providing access to cheap and reliable energy.”
Several segments of cars are housed in the carports of the mega factory that sprawls over 600 acres.
The Jinko 405 Wp modules can produce an estimated 30 million units of green electricity on-site, which can offset a large portion of the plant’s power requirements with renewable sources and reduce grid consumption at higher industrial tariffs.
In India, Jinkosolar is still the first choice for roof-top and C&I clients. Modules from Jinko are highly rated for performance, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
