ABB adds a new production line at its plant in Faridabad

This expansion will increase the plant’s capacity by 20 percent and strengthen ABB’s presence in both the region as well as globally.

ABB has added a new production line at its Faridabad plant. With the addition, ABB has expanded its low voltage motors manufacturing capacity at the plant.

This expansion will increase the plant’s capacity by 20 percent and will help strengthen ABB’s presence across the region as well as globally.

As a leader in promoting sustainable practices, the company claims that its Faridabad facility will be promoting the use of renewable energy and the improvement of energy efficiency across the plant.

Customers operating in industrial segments like food and beverage, water, wastewater, cement, metals, and mining, HVAC, textiles, rubber, and others will benefit from the new line by developing energy-efficient motors up to 55kW.

As a result of this expansion, we continue to reinforce our commitment to the ‘Make in India’ initiative, said Sanjeev Arora, President of ABB Motion India.

We intend to continue manufacturing reliable, energy-efficient, and world-class motors at our manufacturing facilities to meet the enormous demands of the domestic market, as well as expanding our exports to other important markets like the Middle East and Africa,” he said in a statement.

As approximately 75 percent of industrial motors are used to run pumps, fans, and compressors, the use of energy-efficient motors can significantly reduce energy consumption.

Super-premium efficiency motors are manufactured by ABB in India to meet the IE4 standard, which stipulates energy losses of about 15 percent lower than those of IE3 motors.
