Sungrow Inaugurates its 10 GW Indian Solar Inverter Manufacturing Facility
Also,one of the highlight of the inauguration ceremony was launching of new string and central products along with announcing the official debut of Sungrow’s SG350HX and “1+X” Modular inverter in India.
Sungrow, the world’s leading supplier of solar inverters, held a formal ceremony on 9th March, 2022, in New Delhi to inaugurate its Indian factory with manufacturing capability of 10GW per annum. This massive production capacity will enable Sungrow to better reach its customers locally and globally with higher quality products, shorter lead times, and better customer service.
As a response to the “Make in India” initiative of the government of India, this achievement demonstrates Sungrow’s commitment to “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.
Bhagwanth Khuba, the Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Govt of India virtually inaugurated the Sungrow’s new manufacturing facility. The virtual opening ceremony was attended by some of Sungrow’s distinguished customers, including SJVNL,Tata Power, Adani Green Energy, Amplus, LNB Renewable Energy and Fourth Partner Energy to extend their wishes to the company’s 10 GW milestone.
Mr. Bhagwanth Khuba said: “Sungrow has been serving the Indian solar market since 2014, and more than 11 GW inverters have been supplied to India. With this 10 GW manufacturing unit, Sungrow can cater to different customer segments including residential, commercial & industrial, utility-scale levels and the customers worldwide. I appreciate this step of Sungrow, as well as its long-term development plan, which can help to realize our ambition of the renewable energy mission. In the future, I hope Sungrow can keep leading this market and set the benchmark for Indian solar industry, for the success of ‘Make in India’ Initiative.”
At the ceremony, string and central products were launched, which were among the highlights. In India, Sungrow’s SG350HX and “1+X” Modular Inverter make their official debut. With a maximum output power of 352 kW, the SG350HX supports large-format high-efficiency and bifacial PV modules, offering stakeholders an incomparable return on investment.
Sungrow’s most innovative “1+X” Modular Inverter is expected to lead the next generation inverter designation for utility-scale solar power plants. The triple-level modularization of the “1+X” Modular Inverter allows power plant design to become more versatile and post-operational maintenance to become easier in the future.
