‘Site Suitability Module’ launched by Genesis Ray will help mitigate site selection risks

The new Site Suitability Tool from Genesis Ray Energy helps assess and select the most suitable sites for solar and wind renewable energy projects

With the launch of its new Site Suitability Mapping Module, Genesis Ray Energy, Singapore-based technology and research company in the energy sector has added another feather to its cap.

The company’s GenRay Site Suitability Mapping Module is an important tool that can help renewable energy players in locating the most suitable site for their renewable energy projects.

Creating this tool is particularly valuable during these Covid-19 times when exhaustive physical site surveys are becoming more difficult.

Our tools add value at each stage of the project life cycle including pre-feasibility studies, operations, project-exit/sale and aids in making the right investment, repowering, and acquisition decisions.”
Irfan Choudhry – CEO

The Site Suitability tool enables a virtual desktop survey of prospective sites. As part of the virtual survey, a number of parameters are assessed by the tool, including land use, soil bearing capacity, distance from transmission substations, road connectivity, topographic features (such as terrain slope), natural hazard susceptibility, and specific zone exclusion details for any given location.

The module addition is reliable, easy to use, and allows site surveyors, consultants, and technical teams to save a great deal of valuable time, effort, and energy in gathering, cleaning, and verifying data.

As a result of this module being included in “GenRay EXPLORER”, Genesis Ray has gone another step in providing high-quality data and analytics to renewable energy developers to help them make the most reasonable and cost-effective decisions.

“We are committed to improving our value proposition by adding more and more layers to our basic product,” says Irfan Choudhry, CEO of Genesis Ray Energy.

In addition to adding value at every stage of the project lifecycle, including pre-feasibility studies, operations, and project exit/sale, the tools offer assistance in making the right decisions about investments, repowering, and acquisition, Irfan further added.

The company is also considering launching a module that assesses a wind or solar site’s resource potential in addition to generating probabilistic generation profiles.

A complimentary trial is currently being offered on Genesis Ray’s website, http://www.genesisray.com/request-trial

Additionally, the company launched its web store last month, where subscribers can choose from a variety of pricing options and product packages to suit their needs.
